We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible and authoritative Word of God. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe that the salvation of lost and sinful people is by the grace of God through faith and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus, and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those that are saved, to the resurrection of eternal life; and those that are lost, to eternal separation from God. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ.
ReFuGe Worship Leader My name is Andrew Johnson and I’m 21 years old. Before coming to Northbrook Alliance Church, I had attended Crossroads Alliance Church since I was in the third grade. I was involved with leading worship there at Crossroads since before 2007. I am currently serving as the worship leader for ReFuGe: Reaching Future Generations. I was raised in a Christian family and have gone to church since I was a baby. I even played the role of baby Jesus in our church Christmas play as a newborn. I knew about the Bible and Jesus. Initially, I placed my faith in Jesus Christ when I was 5 years old. I was listening to the radio (KTIS) and I heard a boy about my age on Focus On The Family speaking. It seemed as though he had so much joy. I wanted that joy. I prayed to receive Jesus Christ shortly after hearing that boy on the radio. In seventh grade, I recommitted my life to Jesus after hearing a teaching entitled “Hell’s Best Kept Secret” by Ray Comfort. It explained the law (The Ten Commandments), grace, and repentance. I recognized that a perfect and holy God saw me…
ReFuGe Assistant Worship Leader Hello, my name is Brandon Scott and I’m 24 years old. Before coming to Northbrook, I attended Crossroads Alliance Church for 13 years (since I was 10 years old). I was involved with leading worship at Crossroads since I was 13. I am currently serving as the Assistant Worship Leader for ReFuGe: Reaching Future Generations. I was 7 years old when I came to know the Lord but it wasn’t until my teen years that I began to take my relationship with Lord further in knowledge and personal commitment. Through my high school years, I had issues with depression was involved in the “goth” scene. I questioned if God really truly loved me and had the same doubts when it came to my home life. In August of 2006, a year after I graduated from high school, I went on a one year tour with CTI Music Ministries. I played bass guitar with our worship team called 14:21. We traveled to the east and west coasts of the U.S., parts of Canada, and spent a month in Bolivia. I still struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts during that time on the road, but the Lord challenged…

I moved around a lot in the cities when i was a child but, now my home church is Hmong Community Alliance Church and Northbrook Alliance. I am 24 and is now currently living in Brooklyn Park Minnesota. I enjoy being with friends and people that love to talk about God. I also enjoy being outdoors, singing, games, doing group activities, and worshiping God through music and prayer. I just like to take the time to share with you my testimony of how I came to know Christ as my beloved savior. Growing up I was a street boy, who roamed the streets with other kids. Living in St. Paul, MN, there were many of us who found love and acceptance through friendship in the neighborhood. I remember getting into streets fights with other kids and stealing from local grocery stores. One day there was a school bus in the middle of summer, an elderly man came out and started talking to me and my friends about God. We didn’t care much about it but I knew deep down something…
